Okay, Corgi, give: how are you, really? Have you seen a doctor? Is this the malaise that you mentioned you and the dogs have from ticks?!?!?!?

I repeat, have you seen a doctor? (((HUGS)))

It's an upper respiratory infection, it's a pain in the neck, and if I'm fever-sweating, it's on its way out. I did not get it from a tick (D'Argo did), and to Gwynne's great exasperation, Corgi don't do doctors.

I mean, how's a several-hour wait and a copayment for a doctor I'm not even sure who it is going to make me feel better, when s/he will likely tell me to do what I am doing anyway?

Figures I get this on MY time off.

Heh. Yeah, we just have to find a way to blend a corgi/siamese household, is all ..... Medicine is much simpler up here. IMHO. Cheaper, too. ;]

How about a corgi/siamese/bengal household like mine? ^_^ The cats were here first, so they tend to be less lenient with the dog. (pictured above)

With all Toughlove...

"Corgi don't do doctors." Neither did Jim Henson. Don't be stupid. Get a frickin' blood test already.

[exasperated] Yes, I'll just drop by the local Walgreen's and ask for one.

Look, I have no idea who my doctor is on my company insurance; it's already the middle of the afternoon, even if I found that out; and it's clearing up already, or I wouldn't be sweating like this.

I have hot tea steeping in the kitchen and I'll stay wrapped up. If I could get myself through the Martian Death Cold all those years ago with an indifferent doctor (it was the winter holiday season, forget patients, right?), this is nuthin'.

I have to schlep the laundry to Mrs Cummings's house anyway before it goes all mildew.

Fine, you don't do doctors. You are now required to post every six hours or I will tell the estate sale to get bent and come down there myself and take you to the emergency room.

I hate hospitals. Do not make me do this. You have my cell phone number as does [livejournal.com profile] drharper, and while she may not tell on you, others might.

OK, but it's the downhill of something of a headcold, that's all. Honest. It's just annoying and uncomfortable and I Must Kvetch or I 'splode.

Anyway, have you ever seen Jackson Memorial's Emergency? *shudder*

So don't a'slpode, and keep us updated.

I've had to deal with Metro General before the whole VUMC/Meharry shuffle. I can imagine. The ER at MTMC is okay, though. Not terribly convenient to you, I understand, so when do you move up here?

I'll second the comments made, for pity's sake (Take Pity on US anyway!) go see the blasted DOC!

[looks at clock again] And which doctor is that, pray tell?

Sheesh... if I ever get really sick, I'll have to make a point of posting about it (having somebody post for me) and see if I can get some of you guys to stampede down here to take care of me.

Watch it- you may get what you wish for... >:D and I've seen people do stranger things for friends and loved ones!

(Says the woman who just Happily put $300+ on her credit card for her sister's fur-child, and then another $400+ for the medical foot supports her sister needed... Sister is already doing better - but the biopsy on the fur-child's lump came back malignant. Will I spend that money to get said lump cut off again if it comes back? In a Gallifreyan Hearts-beat!)

*snicker* Need capital and a job before I can move anywhere.

Why does nobody ever volunteer to move here, though? I'm always the one being told to move.

I'll give you three reasons why I'm not moving to Florida:

1. hurricanes
2. alligators, bugs and similar questionable wildlife
3. heat

I can handle the alligators as long as the game warden doesn't catch me.

You are allowed to defend yourself, y'know.

And if Annechen thinks her Spanish is bad, she should hear Bill's, and his family lived in Miami back when 27th Avenue was the city limits. (Krome Ave is 177th, for comparison.)

Heh, Second (the German translator) had to have his pronunciation corrected in the "Spanish for Government Service" class - he had been telling people he spoke Spanish "with a little wagon" instead of an odd accent.

The only thing I remember from that class is "Como se dice 'mi hijo reset my watch', por favor?"

Hurricanes. Heat (although I think we had you beat this year). And my Spanish is horrible.

From: [identity profile] sff-corgi.livejournal.com
You did beat me at heat. Even factoring humidity, I don't think the heat indices got that high, and we didn't have spontaneous fires, either.

What would you teach them

When you got better of course, I want you to think about this though...
If I asked you to come and teach my GS troop (they are now 12/13 years old) something MEANINGFUL! ...
Your hair would knock their socks off.
of course, puppies are always good..... I don't mean physically really though.
Something Scottish? I just think you have to contribute to these girls.. there are 10 of them.

Wow... I could do that, the thing is 'what', exactly. 'Something meaningful'... hm.

Ringo is whuffling at the icon of Ein.

As for fevers and Florida, I feel as if I brought a heat wave to the Niagara area. This summer remained well above 85F and the fall is fairly warm. I have the sneaky suspicion that this winter is going to give me the smackdown. I rarely see a doctor since I cannot afford health care without a job. Plus, by the time my chest or head congestion is at its worst, it's already passing. I stick to a few tried-and-true remedies and know when to see a doctor about infections and such. I've had plenty of doctors act as if I'm wasting their time and as if I'm a hypochondriac when I make an appointment to be seen.
