Apparently KING Channel 5 wants to pretend they're the omphalos of steampunkery now, to suit civic ego. Well, they're half right. All the steampunks and gaslamp fantasists I know that don't already live in the PacNW want to move to Portland.

*chuckle* Between Portland and Seattle, there's quite the Steampunk scene here.

And while I would take anything KING-TV said with a morton's can of salt, Seattle has a very strong Steampunk scene (including the locals, Phil and Kaja Fogilo)
