The tick-tock of doom

Looks like I have until April 28th. Oh yay, a firm date.

At least now I know Panera, at least, starts at $8/hr. in Broward County, and they also have round-clock operations.

Wait... What? What'd I miss?

Sorry, I hadn't really said anything. My job is moving to Tulsa without me, because this is how a corporation rewards the unit responsible for the contract renewal.

So I gotta find a new one.

Well, that or move to Tulsa.

You can do better than food service, honestly.

Hmmm, know two people in the whole state, which has tornadoes; closest friends would be in Dallas or St. Louis; moving six dogs and finding new housing with a US$10K stipend... nnnno, considering that there was no efficient reason to make this change in the first place and they've essentially betrayed the whole team, I'm not particularly motivated.

Yeah, but finding it is the sticky part. Even sent my resume to SL, but apparently 9 years of tech support to apply for one of their support positions isn't good enough to get a response. Panera's an available fallback.

AH! The B*stards... And I agree with selenesue... You can do better than food service... (Though I'm SURE the puppies will help you clean up every night!!!)

Actually, Panera donates all their unsold bread items to food banks every night. I've seen the pickup. :)

Oh bloody hell. Why would anyone want to go from Miami to Tulsa?

Good luck (but alas, I have no advice at the moment.....)

Ohh. Made of horrid. :(

Is there any way for you to qualify for 'retraining'? That's what my mom did when her job of 23 years moved away on her. Mind she's right back in the same building for less money, but she did get a degree out of it.

=((( Hope it works out okay.

I'm so sorry, hon. I hope everything works out for you.

If push comes to shove, I think we could find room for you and the dogs in the Frozen North, dear ....

Sorry I'm so late in responding to this.
Possy thots/prayers for a resolution good to you [IMO you deserve one].
No suggestions on jobs or places to move to.
But, can Panera offer you something dealing with their inhouse WiFi maint, or in PR or something?
I'm afraid Ladyhawke Productions isn't a going concern.
