[livejournal.com profile] wombat1138 is a Good Person

I just got the nenju she rebuilt for me (and she purchased the materials long before I paid her), and it's gorgeous. She knotted the whole thing! This particular nenju is a repro of InuYasha's - it's a combination of Shinto holy symbols, the magatama, and Buddhist prayer beads. Mine had inexplicably come unknotted one night, and although I had gathered the beads for re-stringing, the girls, rather small puppies at the time, decided they were great playthings and scattered the beads everywhere.

Thank you, Wombat! It's nice having the weight of it around my neck again, it's a feel-good necklace.

Now I can't remember if I knew before that you were another InuYasha fan. Bravo, fellow enthusiast!

Do you follow the new chapters over at adinuyasha?

It's a dog thing!

I haven't caught up in ages - too many chapters of wandering-powering-up-Tetsaiga [sheepish]. I mean to get back to it, but first I have to find where I can get new chapters of FMA, since my scanlators seem to've bailed on the project. :(

If the mood takes you, Chapters 456 to 533 are over at http://adinuyasha.thebrokenconsole.com/TOC.html

I never minded the sorta slow progression - but then I read webcomics, with their interminable one page per update ...

Also the storyline has reached that long awaited climactic battle, and if the end isn't near it would only be because Takahashi has some other direction in mind.

Yay :)

For the sake of thoroughness, I was wondering whether to glue-fill the magatama borehole with the endknots in it, but couldn't find the glue :b or rather, the bottle of glue I *did* eventually find was very thoroughly glued shut, and I was never going to get around to remember to get another bottle of glue.

I'm sure your knots will be FAR more secure than what I'd managed, although I'm still puzzled it undid itself.

It's a quasi-supernatural object. Without regular propriation they go rogue.
Especially in the presence of the Lords of Corgwyn. You may want to practice something like the ritual "feeding" of Zuni fetishes. (Probably using rice instead of cornmeal, of course)
