(Should have combined this with the edamame, right?)
Firstly: Stopped at PetCo on Biscayne Blvd. totroll for puppies see if there was anything there Mary's Lb. doesn't carry, and right there by the entrance there was not just a dilute Doberman (fawn or blue, for those not familiar with the term), but blond. Cream. Thiiiis far from albino. Pale blue eyes, totally pink nose and not even any visible points, just an even shade of... well, cream blond.
Actually, he looked a good bit like this dog here [warning, large image]. Apparently they call them 'white', but D'Argo is white; this guy was blond.
Secondly: After the movie, I had just enough time to make it to Wild Oats (they stay open late) to grab a couple of things. As I left the car park, a man was walking his two dogs — A 7-month-old English Bulldog with a prediliction for jumping straight up at your face, because he could; and a mixed breed who was part American Bulldog and... part corgi?!? He wasn't sure, but the dog (aside from being a real sweetheart) was built amazingly like Sirius, including general size. He couldn't be part some-other-basset breed, like Basset Hound, because he had soft pointed ears. Hound + bulldog would be a largeish floppy ear, I'm sure. What a combo!
Now that I have thrilled you all beyond all possible measure, I shall go to bed.

Date: 2007-07-16 09:36 am (UTC)I did ask the guy if he was careful about the dog in the sun, and he said yes emphatically. I didn't ask about the growth on his ribs, but it was so obvious I'm pretty sure he's had it looked at.
(he was still pretty, though.)

Some corgwn love the water, some are like Medeni. It isn't even breed-specific (i.e., Pemmie vs. Cardi). My three love splashing in their pool that I haven't set up because too many dogs and too much mud gah, and the girls swam competently if not terribly happily the time I took them to the beach. That was, however, salt water; maybe Medeni would have been happier with more bouyancy.

I found a stray poloroid of Sheila yesterday. On her back on the couch, being a People. Sigh. Miss her.

Awwww, Sheila. :) She was a sweetie.
