Mob the Puppy! (3) Annie's still happy she's not omega dog currently.	Savage Corgwn of DOOM! So we've got Meimei chomping Puppy, and Puppy chomping Gemma... who doesn't appear to be chomping anybody. Yet.	Demonic Corgi Fiends See the glowing eyes? Fiends, I tell you! Fangs and stuff!	Insistence This is D'Argo's 'I'm not going to stop barking until you [A]feed me [B]let me out [C]do something else I want' face.
Gemma of Arabia This is Gemma's 'safe place' for chewing and snacking, except sometimes she doesn't stay =in=.	Strange eyes Blue eyes usually reflect red like this, but brown eyes usually go green-blue - this is just odd. (Yes, dogs are like boats.)	Tug-a-Booda (1) Look! Playing with Auntie Myfi's present!	Tug-a-Booda (2) They went on like this for rather a few minutes, but naturally, as soon as the camera comes out and you shove other dogs out of the way, it spoils the whole scene.
Insane in the Canine Because 'insane in the membrane' just won't cover it. I found this when I got home after work. I have insane dogs. (Ask me the story about the Weimies and the butter cookie tin some time....)

That chewed-up pop can is just ..... How can they do that without getting tin in their tums??

Errr... only when facing him. Taurus had the same kind of mixed eye colour, with the same reflectivity.

I didn't say they couldn't be backwards boats. Maybe he's secretly Australian [ducks quickly].

Well yeah, I know we're all backwards and behind the times and everything, but why are dogs like boats?

OH! Starboard, green running light; port, red running light. A properly equipped boat, you can always tell if it's coming or going that way. Bouys and other channel markers are lit the same way, so you can pass to the right or left, as appropriate for one's national custom.

Although in Sirius's case (and I think Taurus's too), if the light had hit his eyes right, he'd have the colours reversed.

Hokay - back when I was closer to being in single digits, my father's brilliant baker of a sister and her husband moved down from the cold to North Miami (both sides are from Massachusetts, where people get tired of winter). We used to visit on Sundays or such; despite the possibilities of banana cream pie or other goodies, I frequently objected out of anticipated boredom. Y'know, kid. [shrug]

Anyway, we'd got a pair of Weimeraner sisters. Ma'd always been fascinated with their elegant look, and Da had tracked down a litter. As was our habit with puppies, they were restrained in the newspaper-covered kitchen until housebroken. They were old enough to be left by themselves, of course, when we went to Aunt Harriot's that one day. Da also used to get tins of Danish butter cookies/sweet biscuits — you must know the kind, in a really substantially-heavy tin, little sweet 'pretzels' and piped-star circles, with the chunky sugar that crunches when you eat them?

Said tin, as yet unopened and therefore sealed with tape, was left on a kitchen counter. Now, these girlpuppies were probably only a little taller at the shoulder than Sirius is (in the photos above) at the time of this story. Smallish puppies, average kitchen counter. Insert ominous music here.

Off to visit, eat, be bored or not, and back after... oh, what, three hours? Maybe more? Kidscaled time, I don't remember. We get inside, anticipating having to roll up used newspaper, that's to be expected. What we did NOT expect was to find that biscuit tin... on the floor... empty. Covered with teeth marks fang holes. And not a single drop of blood anywhere on the tin, the floor, or in the puppies' mouths.

I wish we'd kept that tin, just for the awe factor.
