Yes! And the seeds are going to make wonderful beads, if I can ever get that started; the trees themselves are hurricane-adapted, and also incredible shade, because they umbrella.
Can you believe people complain about them killing grass and dropping their leaflets? They go bright yellow and turn the ground gold, like a pontillistic painting. It looks great, to me -- some people are way too fussy.
My current fav "You want me to what where?" Batch4pg2pic8. I would live and breathe that puppy which is why this is the closest I will get to actually owning one.
Oh and the Poincianas, bought one for my spouse as a father's day gift. Turns out he's ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE (can you hear him complaining from here?).
