OK, the only 'shippiness I saw tonight was Teyla being disappointed in Sheppard, as if she really wanted him to be in perfect accord with her.  Now, [livejournal.com profile] jenavira said back a couple-three weeks ago, '...oooh were they laying on the Shepwhore/Weir in "Letters from Pegasus". '

Erm?  Where?  They had, like, two scenes together?  And then Weir had her big chokey letter to Simon....

The on-planet background sound FX (the screaming) was surprisingly unsettling.

SG-1 was sooooo cliffhangy.  I'm getting flashbacks, however, to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Somewhere in the Air Force, a new Archeologist has become empowered....  Oh, snark.  Anyway, other than being smartmouthed, I liked the way the whole thing tapestried together.  No plot left behind.  And a 90-minute season finale, is it?

Isaac Hayes is actually looking old, though. :/  Neat touch, inviting him.  Without going to a spoiler site, though, the next-ep teaser made me rather worried about Selmak/Jacob.

As much as I didn't expect to, I've become kinda fond of Galactica.  It's not just the really wonderful cast, they've got some intriguing stuff going on.  I'm still trying to figure out exactly what the Cylons on Caprica are trying to achieve.  It's obvious Helo's an experiment... but with what conclusion?

I'd love to know James Callis's ethnic background, but apparently he's Mister Closemouthed.

I've been wondering pretty much the same thing about Helo. I was surprised to hear they were following him in a plotline, back at the beginning of the series. "Huh? He's the last human on Caprica. There's no way for him to rejoin the fleet. WTF?" I buy Hubby's theory that it has to do with measuring the humans' moral sense in some way: "Do you all still rate as human?" - although maybe they should have done that before nearly wiping out the species.

From those comments they were making about 'He does X, he lives; he does Y, he dies,' it does sound kind of like they're almost hoping to find humans worthy in some fashion. Why they felt they had to reduce the sample so haphazardly, though.... We've got a bit of a clue from what one of the Cylons said about God giving humans all this stuff, and 'this is how you repaid Him'. The religion thing is something they're gonna get into at some point, if the creative team are given room, I bet.

Thinking of whom... LOVE the ever-changing vanity cards at the end!

I've never thought of Weir and Sheppard as a couple--just not enough spark. Teyla and Sheppard I can see. I think Teyla was laying on the guilt last night. I loved Rodney's letter about getting mono, etc. and his final words to his sister were nice. He's such an interesting character. I also liked Carson's letter to his mom. Boy, there's a man who needs a girlfriend. It was fun seeing everyone's quirks in their recorded messages.

Clan MacMillan tartans on parade...there's a man who needs a girlfriend.

And hence, their running joke! But he is a doll, isn't he?

I think Weir/Sheppard's just kind of a dumb idea; Teyla's closer to his equal in several ways, especially now that the weight of leadership's been pretty much removed from her shoulders.

Rodney's starting to run away with the series, from the small group of comments here. ^_^ Let's hope the actor is con-friendly, yeah?

I don't know why I keep seeing Weir/Sheppard in everything; I don't even *like* that pairing. Hell, I don't like either of the characters. *shrug* I'm weird.

The 90-minute Threads isn't the finale, actually -- there's a whole two-parter after it. full of crack omg.

But we love your weird. ;) >:D<

Aha, I saw that about the two-parter after I posted; I snuck over to PegagusGalaxy.com afterwards. Goodness! The syndicators are going to hate them for this! Crack, though, huh?

Did you see the comments about Francks not being a regular next season? Eeenteresting.
