I read what spin1978 linked to, but... still. This thing is infuriating (among SO MANY other federal things lately).

So I wrote this:

Dear Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen,

Since you will be voting on HR 3920 (the Congressional Accountability for Judicial Activism Act of 2004), may I please urge you to ensure this absurd impingement on the separation of federal powers is defeated? This insults the integrity of both the judicial and the legislative branches.

I understand that it may be just 'sending a message' to the Supreme Court, but that's wasting the House's time and the taxpayers' money to go through this charade.

Write your own rep, it can't hurt.
