Note to self:
Must stop beginning phone-posts with 'Okay'! ;)

Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] shellebelle93 and [livejournal.com profile] sit_good_dog for womanfully managing to keep up with my blather. I can't do any of them myself, because I don't have any functional equipment which can handle the audio format.

[livejournal.com profile] mephron, the garb worked fine except for the fact that we were all nearly suffocatingly warm; [livejournal.com profile] ninglor and [livejournal.com profile] immovablemover, hope you listen to or read my last phone-post. See, I was thinking of your concerns. ::nodnod::

It was fun getting to meet [livejournal.com profile] alien010 and her non-hobbity escorts, even if we were pretty scattered due to how full the auditorium was. Heidi, it's almost a good thing we didn't try to be a group, because we would have gone in far too late to sit together.

I'm now jealous of all of you who got the soundtrack already, 'cause you got to hear... [grins at [livejournal.com profile] soupytwist] 'Billeh' sing. Whah. Bone structure, Glasgow accent AND a nice singing voice. You also got to actually HEAR Annie Lennox's song, as opposed to hearing the melody and a couple hundred fen chattering their way out of the auditorium.

And Heidi, the special 'thingie' (official Trilogy Tuesday-Aventura technical term) from New Line was a nicely-decorated frame... with REAL FILM FRAMES FROM EACH FILM IN IT! I can't even find it (at least, not on this PC) on SideshowWeta.com, which is apparently the official licensed item marketer (Sideshow Collectibles). I shall love it and squeeze it and call it Precious.

And so -- to bed

Go you! [livejournal.com profile] sit_good_dog is going with one of our other RPGers to a 10:something show. She's on the left coast, so she'll be getting out almost when you're going in.

Must post reactions! ;)

Sounds completely amazing. And it's good I didn't go, as Harry was sick again overnight, poor thing...

Oh no! You were DOOMED, weren't you?

More about the 'thingie':

The film clips are anamorphic -- all vertically stretched. The FotR one actually has a title overlaid on it: '60 years later...' and has Frodo daydreaming under a tree. The TTT frame is a shot of Aragorn and Legolas, but I can't figure out where in the movie it's from yet. The RotK frame is a closeup of Gandalf, probably in the throne room in Minas Tirith, but it has very little background to make certain.

The frame itself is a sort of resin -- I got a good look, because mine is damaged! The side fell off of the RotK frame and I had to glue it back on. :(
