BTW, I nicked the Picture Meme from
amaterasu, then added to it per

Nicked from
synaesthete7: The Five Interests Meme.
1. jittlov - Mike Jittlov, the creator of 'The Wizard of Speed and Time'. This is a wonderful movie, he is a wonderful person, and one of the most amazing personalities I have ever had the priviledge to encounter. I'm honoured to be able to say he calls me a friend. And there's so much more he's never had the chance to do....
2. buckaroo banzai - an orphaned movie, but oooohhh so rich. If you didn't 'get' it the first time, watch it with me and I'll see if I can help you understand. It's too bad Hollywood accounting as much as anything else has kept us from getting more from Earl MacRauch.
3. rockula - One of the best cheesy movies ever; the more often I watched it, the better I liked the music -- and the more I realised the costume designer had great strengths as a roadworker (or anything else).
4. sajv - 'The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne'. Lush, lyrical visuals; exceptional optical FX for television; gorgeous, rich costuming; the variety that is Canada for exteriors; steampunk; surprising guest stars; and a pan-post-Imperial cast with a ghastly amount of talent. There's something VERY very wrong when a show like this can't succeed, but if you look hard, you can still savor.
5. war for the oaks - Honest to [insert Diety here], this is one of the best fantasy books ever. Really. With rock 'n' roll. And faery folk. And it has a guy who changes into a dog. What's not to like?
