I am extremely squicky about a lot of things, but I'm very, very liberal (especially on social issues).
I realise I could just be an exception, but I'm not convinced that a correlation (if there is one) actually indicates that squeamishness somehow causes social conservatism.
I honestly think empathy plays a bigger part than anything. In my experience, people who are more easily able to put themselves in other people's places, are much more likely to be liberal on social issues.
