With a bit of Googling, I found this:

Attention!

We are currently unable to assess damages sustained to Rodrigue Studio in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. As a result, the gallery will be closed for an unknown period of time. Please direct inquiries to Rodrigue Studio in Carmel (831-626-4444). Contact Sandra Crake or Mary Threadgill.

Our brave New Orleans group is gearing up for the long road ahead. The sales staff is available via cell and e-mail (e-mail is best at this point as phone service is limited). As of now, we don't know of one family member or friends who have not lost their homes.

Concern over merchandise on lay-away is understandable. All possible precautions were taken to protect these items in the event of flooding. We anticipate all of these items to be unharmed.

Our warehouse is another story. We do have silkscreen reserves in Carmel, however, the bulk is in New Orleans. We are doing an inventory now to fill orders placed during the Houston exhibition. We are confident that all items sold will be able to be delivered in a timely fashion.

Please know that our business continues. Website updates will be made daily as inventory is taken. ALL available work will eventually be posted on the website. We will be setting up a temporary gallery and warehouse in Lafayette, LA as quickly as possible, and will have that information available on the website soon.

We would also like to extend our sincerest thanks for those of you who attended the Houston exhibition. We enjoyed visiting with you all. Now, more than ever, we appreciate your continued support and enthusiasm for the art of George Rodrigue.

...and...
Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for thinking of us and the gallery. How's this for irony
--- we’re in Lafayette, where we’re opening a gallery on Pinhook Rd, near
where George opened his first gallery some 35 years ago. Busy placing our
staff in homes. We’ve secured places for everyone, now just collecting
beds, etc. All are anxious to get to work. George and I will head to
Carmel asap so he can begin to build up inventory. He’s already designed a
relief print on paper, but he needs his computer (and a new silkscreen
printer) to create it, since we have no access to anything and our printing
equipment is under water. We will see everyone again in N.O., where we’ll
do everything we can to help rebuild this wonderful city. I saw Shepherd
Smith on FOX sitting at Café DuMonde saying that the only thing missing was
the people. Made me cry..... Again. All of these people.... I can’t even
remember what things seemed important 2 weeks ago.

With love and concern for everyone's safety and peace of mind ---

Wendy
...so it sounds like physically, he and his crew (or should that be 'krewe'? [/rimshot]) are fine, but the business is a shipwreck right now.
