I get to drive by the World Series on my way home tonight!

And the funny thing is, I can't really stand sports.

We're re-bidding our shifts here at work because they've had to adjust the staffing hours for better coverage, due to some new business.

[petulance] Unless I want to get up with the sun, I've been stuck with this sucky rotation that screws up my birthday month and March. Somebody with higher seniority already got the shift I'm working now. [virtually throws frangibles] [/petulance]

I'm going to throw this a wee bit more open -- the Weird_Sisters Yahoo! Group is winding up to the second anniversary of its existence. As a sort of twisted parallel to NaNoWriMo, the Fic-A-Thon subject this year is:

But seriously folks... the BBC's 'The World' radio show has a nice (albeit fairly brief) phone interview with him. It's pretty brave to be a poster child.
