It's Diet Pepsi, of course. I swear, I should buy stock.

Hmmm... do you know how difficult it is to find Diet Pepsi in downtown Manchester...?

Speaking of Diet Pepsi, I committed recycling today. 54 pounds of cans for $20. That's about $0.37/lb. if I did my maths correctly. And that's not even all the cans, it's just all that would fit in Ein-y-Gwyn.

I do the recycling here at work; it's almost like I can't NOT do so. I got better results back in our old building, where I had a... a... bin with a can-squisher on top, right next to the soda machine. Here, a lot more people just toss things out.

I hate seeing stuff wasted, y'know?

Stream-of-reference:  Since I mentioned, and am at, work, I must tell you why I am 'mooding' stressed. Continental Airlines has its employee insurance enrollment going on right now. In order to enroll, employees must access the employee website.

Simple enough, right? Except that it seems a good 50% of Continental's 25K-or-so employees have either never logged into said website, forgot their passwords, or have let them expire.

This was/is an 8-hour shift. I have taken 60 calls. I'd estimate 80% of them, at LEAST, have been these BLOODY PASSWORD RESETS WHICH COULD/SHOULD BE DONE BY A BLOODY VOICE-RECOGNITION ROBOT.

Yes, they make me insane. Some of these people... one time, I had one of them tell me he didn't know what I meant by 'capital letter'.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

[livejournal.com profile] mephron has initiated a bit of a debate/discussion:

Why are people more likely to react to news of animals being in distress than something like, for example, the Staten Island Ferry accident?

I added my two knuts.

And [livejournal.com profile] mightygodking has a link to a very interesting and thought-provoking commentary of why an Iraqi civil war is gonna get the U.S. pinched in the middle but viciously.

Tonight, I have had one of my evil headaches -- I blame [livejournal.com profile] myfanwy for them, I swear she 'contaiged' me -- all evening. This isn't like a migraine; it feels almost more like an allergic reaction to sleeping badly, if that makes sense. It did centre behind my right eye, similar to a migraine, but is far more likely to induce nausea (not in this instance, thankfully), and usually makes me go to bed early.

[livejournal.com profile] sit_good_dog has Reiki'd me, and it actually is FINALLY feeling better, but I'm still going to bed early. I hate the feeling of my brain short-circuiting.

I'm starting to get an itch to write more on Alex and Sirius's lives. However, I am dilemma'd.

I don't know whether to follow canon or not; if I can't decide, I don't think I'll have the momentum to write FOUR versions of the story, splitting Sirius alive/Sirius enVeiled.

Expect a poll on this. I'll really need your help deciding.

Lastly, I think -- [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge is writing a WAFFy* little AU 'fic in which Sirius was never blamed for James & Lily's deaths and with Remus, has been lurking around Privet Drive, watching over an eight-year-old Harry.

Look in my Memories under 'Fanfic (HP)' for the link to the first three chapters.

* WAFFy - 'Warm And Fuzzy Feeling'-y. Means: fluffy, relatively stress-free characters and therefore readers.
